Lenovo K3 Note is getting the Android Marshmallow

All manufacturers are struggling to update their devices to the latest version of Android as soon as possible. Almost all of the flagship devices are already upgraded to Android Marshmallow except for OnePlus 2 and maybe a couple more.

Another device from Lenovo has joined the Android Marshmallow family. The Lenovo K3 Note is getting the android Marshmallow update in India OTA. Users can check the updates from software updates in settings. The update is available in India right now and other regions will get it soon.

The Marshmallow brings traditional marshmallow features like Doze and custom app permissions to the device. Other features and tweaks plus performance improvements and bug fixes are also included in the update.

The Lenovo K3 Note was announced and launched in March of 2015. It comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2 GB of RAM for smoother multitasking. The chipset is Mediatek MT6752 with Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T760MP2. Internal storage is 16 GB which can be expanded by a Mirco SD card up to 32 GB. Main camera is 13 MP with 5 MP front camera for selfies. the camera can record and play 1080p videos.

You can download the update now OTA. Remember that the size of the update is about 1.6 GB. So make sure to download it over WiFi or unlimited data plan.
